Let Me Tell You About My Day

Oh my god.
I don't think I've ever been this hungry in my life.
I don't think I've been this busy until I have simply no time to eat anything in my life.
I don't think I've ever been so happy to eat an omelette in my life.

In the midst of handling the club data today, the only food I got to eat from when I woke up this morning until I left school to go for tuition are TianYoon's Tiger biscuits and a cup of wedges. Seriously.
This morning I woke up late, and I skipped breakfast at home, deciding I would just eat breakfast in school. But for some reason when I reached school, I forgot to eat my breakfast. =.= so, no breakfast for me. Then during recess, I ignored my grumbling stomach and headed straight to the edboard room to continue editing the club data that I was editing this morning just after assembly. No recess food for me. :(
after school, I continued editing the club data until I had to go for my class page photo-taking. In the middle of the photo-taking I leave for my edboard meeting, only to leave for the last shot of class photo-taking before returning for the meeting.
And after the meeting, I went straight to tuition and only came home about an hour ago. No lunch for me. :'(
And that pretty much sums up my day.

So today I found out that:
1. I don't understand how people can starve themselves for a bleedin' diet!
2. My hair still smells good even after one stinky sweaty day at school. :)
3. Fried omelette tastes really, really yummy.
4. We need a bigger edboard room, aircond and many many more computers.and maybe like a soundproof room for meetings. And maybe like a stereo too. :D
5. Gardenia's chocolate muffin doesn't taste as good as I thought it would be.
6. One day I would like to go bring lots and lots of food to Africa and let the Africans eat a healthy and delicious meal. A meal that is not even fit for a king. Okay i shall write that down in my List of Things I Want to Do Before I Die.

and tomorrow I shall say: TGI Friday!
:D

Monday Blues

Arrgh, the Chinese New Year holiday laziness has taken it's toll on me. :(
Honestly speaking, it's not like I don't have the energy to do, well, things. I know I can and will do things once I set my mind to it, but the keyword here is laziness :(

I want (and really need) my mojo back!
There're so many things I still have to do, and that doesn't include studyig for the exams which, bytheway, are just ONEMEASLYWEEK away! :O

I had my first real experience of Monday Blues today when I went to school feeling less cheerful and less energetic than I usually would've felt, felt so tired and slightly pathetic in class- being antisocial (only for today, I promise. Tonight I shall sleep early and wake up feeling like I own the world) and worrying about things that I never, never should have worried about in first place. All those together with the heat made me feel absolutely miserable and...vunerable.
Unfortunately, after school wasn't any better (at least literature class was fruitful) and it was only after I had sunken into the cozy sofa of my air-conditioned study room did I feel slightly better.
And then I started to think about what a complete bore I was in school today. My classmates
were probably thinking: whatonearth what's wrong with her, looking so emo. =.=

well that's alright, because tomorrow shall be a better day. :)
And as an attempt to get my mojo back (and to stop the laziness before I get too attatched to it and throw away a perfectly good senior year in high school) after this blog post I shall go grab my school bag and finish doing my homework and then I shall go study like I've studied
before, because I want to go catch Chicago The Musical in Singapore this April/May and the only way I can ever persuade my parents to let me go is if I get good results. :/

A Rose For Me and You

Hello! I'm back from Singapore. :D
Nothing beats coming home and sitting in front of the TV watching American Idol, even though I did just come back from pretty Singapore. :)
Okay I'm not sure if that made any sense. But anyway,

In Singapore:

1. I got my fair share of angpows. :D
I visited more relatives than I did this Chinese New Year compared to the last, thus the increase of my angpow money- although more than half of it is going into the bank.

2. I got bitten by my cousin's evil hamster.
My cousin has two adorable hamsters- a white and a brown. Coincidentally, the white one is the sweet, innocent furry little thing while the brown one is the one who bit my finger and left it bleeding white it scurried in a corner, probably licking the blood stains off it's mouth. Meh.

3. I went to the beach!
The beach in Singapore is really nice and clean (no surprise there). There were a lot of people camping there, which is something you seldom see back here. One day, I too shall camp at the beach. :)

4. I camwhored at my aunt's brick wall.
See, the brick wall outside my aunt's condo makes a very good place for taking pictures. And so, my cousin, my sister and I spent some time posing at the wall taking pictures- most of which were deleted because we either looked weird or retarded. :)

5. We had a traditional Chinese New Year tea ceremony.
It was this little thing that my cousin's family picked up last year, and so this year when I arrived at their house I was surprised to see my niece wearing a baju kebaya and pouring tea. The little ones had to kneel down before the elders and say a few prosperous words before happily getting their red-packets.

6. I visited the Merlion.
FINALLY. After many years of visiting Singapore, I have never, never been to Merlion Park. This comes from the fact that every time I go to Singapore, I go as a visit to my relatives and never as a tourist. I thought the Merlion would be larger though, hmm.

7. I didn't get to do any shopping.
THIS IS VERY SAD. The time in Singapore was spent driving around looking for relatives' houses, or going around to relatives' houses, or swimming or laying back on the couch watching I Not Stupid 2 or playing Monopoly Deal- which by the way, is a much nicer game to play than Monopoly. :)
So yeah, no shopping. :(

But other than that, I had a cool time in Singapore, yup. :)

BOOM! Crackers

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!
Get lots of angpows, people!
Cast aside all unhappy thoughts and just have fun. :)

As for me, I'm off to Singapore early tomorrow morning.
Whee! :D

Crackin'-Lackin'

I had a hair cut yesterday.
My fringe looks exactly the same as it does back in Form 3.
I guess it doesn't look too bad; I could do a lot worse with say - being bald.
Don't get me wrong, nothing's wrong with being bald; it's just that I wouldn't look nice bald.

Life's been a bit hectic lately, what with homework building up and having to stay back for after-school activities. I miss eating lunch at home. Eating the same canteen food for 5 years does not do one any good, especially when they deep-fry just about everything (well, sometimes I can't help but eat the fries- they go good with pepper).

SO, Chinese New Year being just around the corner, I'm pretty sure everyone has plans: either to stay at home, watch TV and eat a bowlful of tangerines (I think that's what I did this one year; didn't do much relative-visiting) or to drive all the way back to the parents' home town, walk around greeting all your relatives and collecting one's precious red packets. :)
YAY CHINESE NEW YEAR IN SINGAPORE FOR ME! :D
Chinese New Year and Valentine's Day, all packed in one. We'll see cheongsam-dressed cupids shooting their love arrows all around. :D
HAHAHA. How cool would that be?
Someone should dress up like that for Halloween.

:)

Melted Cheese

Hello!
I'm just here to tell you that...

Polo is my new favourite sport. :)
Introducing Nacho Figueras, a professional polo player who I found out about when I was watching Oprah interview him on television.
I like him, I think he's adorable. :D
