Red & Sweet

What can I say? I'm a sucker for these romance stories. :)
I've been thinking about this movie for the whole day, haha.

Considering the fact that Ais Kacang Puppy Love is a Malaysian movie, I wonder how many people have doubts about this movie. I'm proud to say that I'm not/wasn't one of them. ;D
I absolutely love this movie. There were some parts that got me laughing, and some that got me reaching for the tissue in my bag so that I could wipe the tears off my eyes that were clouding my view.
I think plenty people can relate to this movie like how people can relate to Taylor Swift's songs. I promise you this movie is just as heart warming as I Not Stupid and I Not Stupid Too, probably better.

I like how the movie shows the friendships of the kids who grew up together, the hardships that they go through, the romance that they face. I really love the scenes in the movie, the clean river, the little bridge that they sit and lie on chatting absent-mindedly away, how they sit at the cafe and eat ais kacang together as kids, the gambling, the betting, the Hokkien-speaking, the bullying, everything. :)
Aah such a lovely movie. And what an ending to that movie.

Do not doubt this movie just because it's a Malaysian-made movie. We've got talent here just like anywhere else! :)

Like Crushed Peas

AARRRGH to today.
The weather was hot and humid, and this unlucky thing that never should have happened happened.

I hope our luck goes up or I shall have to start hunting for 4 leaved clovers.

Happy Earth Day!

To be honest I completely forgot about Earth Day until I heard the reminder announcement during morning assembly in school today. But nevertheless, today was a good day. :)
Woke up in the morning feeling groggy, but then I received a text message that made my whole day. :D
So thank you, you know who you are. ;)

I find this picture both adorable and truthful. I don't think an explanation is necessary to tell people what Earth Day is all about, and if you're really clueless as to what Earth Day is all about, then go Google it. :)
And so from this picture I bring you a caption:
SAVE THE EARTH TO AVOID BEING STUPID.

HAPPY EARTH DAY!
And remember: make everyday Earth Day. :)

Laughter & A Cheerful Disposition

Hello, haven't been blogging for quite a while now. :)
Well actually I doubt anyone's been blogging lately because everything is so hectic.
It's like we all boarded the GoingOffToSomewhereExpress and the train master lost control of the the train and everything's just full steam ahead.

But today I've decided to take a day off all that, and have a little break. :)

Recently I've learned that I cannot do everything even though I want to, and sacrifices have to be made under certain circumstances. Well obviously this is a theory that everyone knows but I think to be able to grasp hold of the theory and apply it to reality is a totally different matter.
So right now I shall prioritize and stop distracting myself when I should be studying and stuffing myself with food whenever I feel like it. I need a healthy diet of food to eat, that's what I need.
Exams are about 3 weeks away, and so is Sports Day.
Personally, I'd prefer it if exams were pushed back until the holidays, then at least I'll have something to do while my parents are waltzing away in Italy.

I feel like time is passing really quickly, but at the same time passing slowly. Yes, I know, what a contradiction, you may think. But it's true: one week feels like a month, so I feel as if time passed really quickly, but then when you look back and find out it's only about a week ago since you turned 17, you realize that time isn't passing all that quickly. I'm not sure if that even makes sense, but that's how I feel. Hence the contradiction. Haha.

Alright, time for some videos and Facebook. :)

Worldwide April Fools' Day Pranks

Since I didn't get to prank anyone on April Fools' Day and no one pranked me back (except for a very failed attempt by my dear sister), I decided it would be interesting to blog a list of really cool April Fools' Day Pranks. :D

1. Spaghetti Trees:
In 1957, this BBC television program called Panaroma ran a documentary of Italians harvesting spaghetti from trees. They claimed that this despised pest, called the spaghetti weevil had be eradicated. After the documentary finished, a large number of people called BBC wanting to know how to plant their own spaghetti trees. To this BBC replied "place a sprig of spaghetti in a tin of tomato sauce and hope for the best."

2. Gmail Vowel Outage:
April Fools' Day 2010, Gmail Engineering Director Sam Schillace decided to remove the usage of vowels from Gmail. Gmail received numerous reports of this issue via help forums and Google. It was later revealed that this was nothing more than a silly April Fools' Day prank. :)

3. Jovian-Plutonian Gravitational Effect:
In 1976, British astronomer Sir Patrick Moore told listeners of BBC Radio 2 that this unique alignment of the planets Jupiter and Pluto would result in an upward gravitational pull at precisely 9.47am, making people lighter. He invited all his listeners to jump in the air and experience the strange floating sensation. Many of the listeners phoned in to say that they felt the floating sensation. One woman even phoned in to say that she and her eleven friends had risen from their chairs.

4. Flying Penguins:
In 2008, BBC announced that camera crews were filming near the Antarctic had captured a miraculous footage of penguins flying. They even offered a video footage of these flying penguins. Presenter Terry Jones even explained that instead of huddling together for the winter, these penguins are flying towards the rainforests of South America to bask in the tropical sun.

5. The 26-Day Marathon:
In 1981, a Japanese long-distance runner, Kimo Nakajimi, entered the London Marathon. On mistranslation, he thought he had to run for 26 days instead of 26 miles. Various people spotted him running, determined to finish the race and tried to flag him down but failed.

6. April Fool Bomb:
In 1915, in the midst of World War One, a French aviator flew over a German camp and dropped what appeared to be a large bomb. German soldiers scattered for cover but no explosion happened. When the soldiers were brave enough to come out and explore the bomb, they realized it was nothing but a large football with a note tied to it that read "April Fool!"

The crazy, silly things people do for a good laugh.
Thumbs up to April The First. ;D
