Oh, damn the Internet!

This one goes out to Michelle, who is very pretty and whom I noticed eating this chocolate-coated with two white hearts donut today. It looked yummy:

HAPPY 15TH BIRTHDAY!

Oh, Goodbye Sweet Phone

Here's a deal my mom and I made just last month:
That I cannot exceed RM25 of the phone bill OR she will confiscate my phone for 2 weeks. RM30, one month.

And due to the many events for this month, I think I exceeded the limited amount more than I could ever imagine.
Which I will TRY to negotiate with my mom, because I had many activities this month!
Like, er, the PWTC Charity Sale! HAH!
And er, something something else. (I WILL figure it out)

And just if (and most probably) if I lose the negotiation with mom, I will gladly give up my phone for 2 months, because I made a deal with her, and also, phone-less will keep me away from texting distractions in order to concentrate on my PMR trials (I have a challenge of subjects and I will WIN EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM) and later, PMR.

*sigh*

Birthdays And More

I feel like I've been blogging all about birthdays these few days.

This one goes out to Shu Lin, the sweet yet tough girl (her punches hurt!) whom I missed being in the same class with her:

HAPPY 15TH BIRTHDAY!

And I hope your chinese teacher doesn't torture you like how she does to us. :)

Another Birthday

To Chun Yeen, whom I have also greeted and who complains about strangers greeting him a Happy Birthday on Friendster:

Say It Loud, Say It Proud

Hear up people, I have a few proud accomplishments to announce:

First and foremost, I FINISHED MY SENI PROJECT. Except for the whole lakaran thing, but we can all get to that later. =)

Secondly, I got a 10/10 for my batik drawing, and that's thanks for my art teacher for letting me use that liquid-rubber-thingy. The one where you squirt it onto your art paper and let it dry (it turns into rubber when dried), and after you splash your pretty rainbow colours onto your picture and peel off the rubber, it looks like a detailed batik drawing! Only, the white part lines (the part after you peel the rubber off) make people think that it's liquid paper.
But who cares?!
For the first time in my life, I got a perfect score! HAH.
(And so endure my boasting for this little while, I'm just too happy)

Thirdly, the Arts and Graphics department for the school's Ed Board and having a second intake (much to my surprise and delight!), and under the enthusiastic encouragement for Pei, I decided to take the test. =)

Oh, and congratulations to Pei and Yuli for those funny captions done on the Students Choice Awards. I couldn't have read better captions.
Really. =)

A Belated Smile

I know I've wished them a happy birthday but I still find it a courtesy to shout it out on my blog.
So here goes:

To Seck Wei, whose birthday was on the 16th of July:

HAPPY 15th BIRTHDAY!

And to Amelin, whose birthday was on the 17th of July and whom we had a lot of fun selling muffins:

A Fair of Books

I finally remembered what I wanted to blog about.
The school had a Book Fair, and there were LOADS of books from Popular and MPH ready for sale. Oh, and all students get a special 10% discount on all books.

Trust me, there was every choice possible, and every book I looked through looked interesting I just felt like buying the whole table of books.
But I only had 70, and so I chose the three most important (and most interesting books) to me to buy.

1. Chasing Harry Winston (HAH! It was on a 20% discount!!)

2. The Alchemyst: The Secrets of The Immortal Nicholas Flamel

3. Howl's Moving Castle (I couldn't find the novel picture online and I'm too lazy to take a picture with my camera and upload it to the computer, so here's how the castle looks like from the anime)
I'm currently reading Chasing Harry Winston (and trying to read it fast because I have a waiting list of 3 people [and each one gets a maximum time of 3 weeks to read the book. {there's a reason for this}] and I've been a pretty slow reader these few days) and after that most probably Howl's Moving Castle and then The Alchemyst.

Plus I've got my trials coming up so that would mean studying as well.
Bummer.

Future[s]

To Mel and Pei, whom we argued about two words during Bon Odori.

There IS a difference between "future" and "futures", and "futures" is NOT a plural for "future"

fu·ture –noun
1. time that is to be or come hereafter.
2. something that will exist or happen in time to come:
The future is rooted in the past.
3. a condition, esp. of success or failure, to come: Some people believe a gypsy can tell you your future.

futures
contract to buy or sell a specified amount of a commodity or financial instrument at an agreed price at a set date in the future. If the price for the commodity or financial instrument rises between the contract date and the future date, the investor will make money; if it declines, the investor will lose money. The term also refers to the market for such contracts.

A Japanese Experience

Let's make this simple and sweet without having to look for bombastic words to describe it: I went to Bon Odori 2008 on Saturday (12th June 2008) with Mel, Pei and a few hundred people from CHS.

I arrived at school at about 4.35pm and waited for AN HOUR (yes, an hour!) for the school bus to arrive to fetch us to Stadium Matsushita, Shah Alam for the Bon Odori (Japanese Ghost Festival to those who don't know)
Here's the interesting fact: There's a memorial park built behind the stadium. Mwahahahaha.

It took us long enough to get all the sushi to eat and then we found a lovely spot to sit down to have our dinner. And then we chatted, until my family came and I rushed off to the main entrance to greet them, neglecting poor Mel and (especially) Pei until they all settled down and Mel brought me my RM5 green tea ice cream, which I found out later that Pei added fruit punch juice into the ice-cream (now come to think of it, that's why it melted so quickly!)

Octopus. And they still have their tentacles on them. And Pei and Mel ate them.

Beard Papa's Cream Puffs. They're creamy. =)

I want a kimono, and I will get one when I have enough money.

Oh, this is just to show you how many people were at the stadium for Bon Odori.

A nicely photographed weed by Rachel.
Mel was trying to make my cellphone touchscreen work. Sorry, Mel, it was already spoiled.

Sorry Pei, the touchscreen doesn't work.

A glowing devil. (that's the 70 bucks blouse)

Look at our ears horns. It's RM10 for a pair and you can always change the battery when it goes dead.

See all those little girls wearing kimonos up there? Yep, that's the boxing ring they dance in and the crowd follows their movements.

Ooh, and then we danced along to the Japanese Traditional Dances until the ceremony ended and my feet were sore. Which we then later had Hokkien mee for supper (my parents love Hokkien mee) and then I went home and taught Pei piano and guitar until her parents came along to fetch her home.

I hope Youtube can work. I've got my Ugly Betty season 2 to watch. =)

A Month's Difference

Firstly, I'd like to say- the government side won the debate motion of abolishing the prefectorial board. Too bad it's not going to really happen.

Secondly, I've waited two months for Chapter 192 to come out in the Tsubasa manga series and it finally came out. And so I thought I had to wait for another one month or so for the next chapter to come out, but when I checked the manga today, Chapter 193 came out ONE WEEK after Chapter 192 came out.
I have no idea why I'm blogging about this.

Thirdly, I am going to the Bon Odori festival tomorrow (a Japanese cultural festival. Not a food festival, mind you) and am going to pamper myself with sushi, octopus balls, and mini water balloon yoyos.

Fourthly, I am running out of things to blog.
Well, not really. Usually I think of something good and then when the blogging duration comes I just stare at the screen thinking of something nice to say.
Which I often fail.
You may notice how boring this blog is right now.

Fifth, I finally found Ugly Betty episodes to watch online so I will never be that bored again!
Whoopdeedoo!

Chirps

I just found this picture on the net and it inspired me.
Inspired me to do what, that I have no idea, but it just inspired me.

I mean, look at that newborn chick, isn't it just so adorable?
With it's fluffy feathers, sitting on that wooden bench/floor, whichever it is.

Oh, I just remembered, the 3a2 class are doing a debate on the motion: The Board of Prefects in School Should Be Abolished, and I second this motion!
They're taking this debate really seriously.
And I helped them with research but I doubt they're going to use any of the points I printed out for them. =(
So much for wasting my ink.

Well, I'm not going to go on about why the prefectorial board should be abolished, we did a lot of that in school already and I'm very lazy to repeat all the points.
And I'm actually debating with Melody now.
Err, a practice debate. =)
I'm the opposition team.
Bleh.

I am letting my heart guide me.
Take me where I'm supposed to go.
=)

It's All About That Chicken

I was just clicking away, and then I laid eyes on this most adorable chicken. This SINGING chicken (well duh it's animated, what were you thinking?).

It's really adorable. I'd like to know who wouldn't fall in love with this chick.
Right, oops. It's a chick.

She Was Red

I joined the CHS Amazing Race, and my team lost.
WHY?

Reasons:
1. I was sick (damnit, it just wouldn't rain!)
2. SOMEONE kept hogging the Bunsen Burners at our last station.
3. I didn't do ANYTHING to help.
4. I was really dizzy and my brain was jammed.

And I wish we could've just taken a taxi to Mid Valley for our next clue.
How cool would that be?

And darnit, Tsubasa has got me into suspense again!
That's what you get for being such an anime addict.

For The Darlings

Hello, and despite me being really busy planning everything for tomorrow's Kids For Kids Charity Sale tomorrow at PWTC (forgot what it stands for, check it out yourself you lazy bum), I actually still have time to blog.

Right. For those of you who are free tomorrow and are bold enough to step out of your house, come come to the PWTC and BUY CAKES FROM ME.
I sell cheese tarts, chocolate moist cakes and some yummy muffins (er, I have cheese-something, Orange seed and chocolate chip)
And so, it may be a little expensive but it's for charity.
Remember people, charity for LITTLE KIDS.

And guess what? =)
I'll be spending 10 hours each day for Saturday and Sunday making rich people buy food to support the poor.
Like Robin Hood.
And if I know you, I'll give you a 50% discount for anything you buy.

I think I shall hang Mr Pee on my cellphone. =)

Run, Run as Fast as You Can

I've got some excellent news people!
Excellent for me, that is.

I got an 80 for chinese. Hah.
I'm a happy happy girl!
I can boast about this for the whole day and I WILL boast about this the whole day because I'm a selfish selfish girl. So kill me.

By the way, Carmen's blog kills my eyes, because her green is really....GREEN.
Sorry Carmen.
Ouch.

Hugs and Sneezes

Oh, they ARE real.
The mummified fairy pictures are really horrible, but they look real alright.

Rachel's Theorem 2

Mind you, I was HORRIBLY HORRIBLY sick for the past 2 days. And I still haven't recovered yet.
I shall not reveal what terrible sickness I had, because I don't need to remind myself of them.
All I can say is, I sneezed a LOT, and looked like Rudolph the Reindeer, and sounded wheezy.
And THAT wasn't a pretty sight.

So here's my theory:

Every time during exam I get sick at least ONCE. Yes, once.
And I mean EVERY exam.
It's like...a body tradition!

So for this exam, I didn't get sick at all. Nope.
And now, my body's making my anti-bodies pay, by making their owner (and that would be ME) really, really sick.

And NO, I'm not imagining this, no matter how nutty I sound. It's true!
Just like how PeiShe thinks fairies are real.
=)
