Talk To The Wind, Talk To The Sky

HAPPY 15TH BIRTHDAY SEAN!!
We shall take you out one day for a very belated birthday celebration. I hope you don't mind! ;)

Anyway, I got through the first 4 exam papers fine. Screwed up a little a lot. :/
Am definitely, definitely hoping for a miracle.
And my goal is to get top 15 in class! Top 20 at least. It's always good to know what you're aiming for, right? :)

Final papers before the 2 week holiday: English 1 and History.
History's a bummer, and I'm gonna have to pull an all-nighter for this subject just like I did with Moral yesterday/today dawn.
I took a 3 and a half hour nap from 10.30pm and woke up at 2! Just to study Moral. And I screwed it up anyway. I couldn't even remember any of the moral value definitions during the exam. And I almost fell asleep halfway through the paper. -_-
But I managed to finish the paper all the same.

And now- on to History we shall tackle!

"See You Later" Doesn't Mean "Goodbye"

Today, I, Rachel, shall bow down to Susan Boyle, because not only has she the most magnificent voice but also because she has a Scottish/British accent.
ALL HAIL SUSAN.

I tell you she is by far the greatest vocalist I have ever heard. And for those of you who have never even heard her sing, you listen to me and go to Youtube straight away and type Susan Boyle in the search column. Like, now.

Oh and speaking of accents, I have decided that I shall go to England one day to study literature and I shall come back with an accent that I will proudly show off to everybody. But I doubt I can hold on to that accent for long once I come back to Malaysia, because you know, Malaysians settle real quick to the accent/slang of whatever environment they're in. Even Wikipedia says that.
Really.
The last time I went to China and soon I was speaking in a China-Chinese slang. But a few days after I came home, my slang wore off and I was back to speaking in my normal Malaysian way. :(

Ooh or I could just go and live in England! :D

Battle Of The Brains

This has become a habit of mine- blogskin hunting.
But I can't help it, there're so many nice and pretty blogskins out there just waiting for someone to use them. Haha.

Anyway, have been playing Restaurant City on Facebook (though I wouldn't exactly say obsessively) and fooling around on Photobucket.
Just remembered that the only subject that I finished studying is Literature, and I haven't even started on History yet. Yes, I know, I'm so screwed. And I really have to stop saying that and get down on my hands and knees and crawl to my History reference book.
But History is just so....boring and old. Especially Malaysian History. I'd rather World History a whole lot more. I even prefer Add Math and Math over History, and I'm a rather sucky person when it comes to numbers!

Went to Popular today and bought a whole bunch of worksheets to help me get started (like, for real, serious studying) on my studying. I have at least 2 History workbooks so that should get me into the full mood to study this particularly boring subject of mine tomorrow today.
Besides that, I think I'm about 55% prepared for next week's midterms.

Plus I just realised that my post titles stink.
And do I really look like a Singaporean? :)
Pardon any grammar mistakes, I'm just feeling awfully sleepy.
Night.

HaHaHeeHeeHaHaHoo

Finally, finally got the Merah Celebration pictures from Ee Voon.

So, THANK YOU EE VOON. :D

Oh and all the pictures are in my Facebook, as I am too lazy to pick which ones to upload on Blogger, and there're about 71 pictures people, so click here to view the pictures.
:)

I am STILL so screwed for my midterms. Maybe momsie will let me skip school on Monday and Tuesday to study at home. :/

I Am So Into Cookies Lately

The Secret Of Life, is to fall down seven times and get up eight times.
-- Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist

I am so screwed for my midterms.
Like, really.
There's one week more to the start of exam and let me tell you people, that I haven't studied a BIT. No, not even one onehundreth of a chocolate chip piece on a chocolate cookie.
So you can probably imagine how much of a goner I am for the midterms.

It's not that I'm being a total lazy bumm and am neglecting my studies (okay, maybe a bit) but I spend like half of my time catching up with homework.
So, I DO wish that the teachers would STOP giving us homework and SPARE US, therefore giving us more FREE TIME to study.
Did I mention that I haven't even started studying? No, not even a BIT.

And here I am, blogging about it.
I've FINALLY finished my homework (am very lazy to do Mod Math, I don't think the trainee teacher will mind if I hand it in one day late. She's very nice one laa) and tomorrow I shall bring my History reference book to school and study.

I Rachel Ho, vow, and plegde to STUDY for as long as my eyes can stay open; and I will try (I said try) to keep all distractions (aka going online, watching DVD movies) away from me, and lock myself up in the study room, to study.

Who Stole The Cookie From The Cookie Jar?

I did, actually. And I took only one. Because I am still trying to cut down on some tummy-fat by eating fresh, healthy salad. And I've been eating salad for the past 2 days for every meal. And meat, of course. Just no rice and bread for the current moment. :)

Friday: Teacher's Day
Teacher's Day was, OKAY. I brought my camera there but didn't take many pictures, listened to the contestants of CHS Idol (there was this band singing I'm Yours, super cool!) and got pranked by Adrian Anthony (I will get him back for this!).

So this is like the ONLY picture I took, and Pei will love me for posting this. So there you go, Pei!

When I came home my dog was lying in the corner, and she only looks this sad when I fish the camera to take a picture of her. So not photogenic.

My nice and huge pencilbox that I stuff everything into, aka staplers, my calculator, glue, scissors, and my sticky note pad.

My words have gotten bigger and this is proof that I HAVE been doing my homework. :)

Saturday: Merah Celebration Party Day
Went to Cheras, the captain's house was BIG. And really well-decorated! Stayed there for about 5 hours and went home feeling really tired and sleepy.

The boys were sitting there watching football on TV for about 2 hours before we all finally started eating dinner. 2 hours!

Then we cracked our winning hamper but no one ate anything or brought home anything. -_-

Then they played games (I didn't join in any of the games because of my [as Pei said] lack of gamesmanship) but I stood there taking pictures with Ee Voon's camera. Lots of pictures. :)

All the nice, clear pictures are with Ee Voon and as soon as I get them I will upload them on Facebook. The quality is much, much, MUCH better than the pictures above. :)

Things-to-Do:
STUDY.
Charge Ipod.
Switch off phone.
Refrain cursing (@#%#!)
STUDY.

Do Stop Acting Like An Immature Bunch Of Kids

I knew it!
Danny Gokey got eliminated. And I predicted that the Top2 would include either Adam Lambert and Kris Allen or Adam Lambert and Danny Gokey like a month ago. But when the Final Week came nearer I guess my prediction narrowed down to Adam and Kris, and it came true! :D

And to be honest, I support Kris Allen a little more than Adam Lambert, because Kris is cute. :)
Oh but at the other time I have a feeling that Adam will win, because he is such an awesome singer (I don't care what Shu says about his screaming, I think that that's what makes Adam a winner)!
So either way, I'll get a win-win situation on the winner of American Idol. Unlike last year. Last year was really disappointing. :/

Aren't they just both the coolest? :D

Oh yes, on the other hand, I've gotten pretty tired watching the guys (specific details will be left out) in my class argue, because I'm the one who has to hear at least one of them complain about it to me. Oh and I really want to listen to class, especially since exam is nearing, and my current goal now is to not fail my midterms.
So yes, please please do stop acting like a bunch of immature 5 year old kids. I bet even monkeys are less immature leh. And monkeys definitely do not keep arguing and patching things up with one another.
I find this situation annoying and at the same hilarious.

Barnacles

That nice white top I was talking about?
Yeah, it's mom's. But I can always borrow it, it fits me well! :D

And I didn't walk my dog again today.
Was busy trying to write a piece about dear old Merlin.
Toodles.

Update:
Just read Pei's and Louise's blog about that form one kid.
What is his problem?
And yes, I'm tired of all the fighting that's been going on between the rivalry of the sports houses too. Practically everyone I know is.
So people, stop it once and for all. And let the CHS Spirit um, fill our hearts as one big family again. :)

I Can't Help It, I Just Love Clothes!

Oh oh I saw this really nice white top hanging on a hanger on the knob of my mom's closet. It's really nice. And I am praying, that mom bought that for me (or my aunt or any singapore relative) from her trip to Singapore last weekend because I doubt mom would ever wear something like that. :)

I am so so tired. Exhausted would be more accurate word.
I just spent half the night yesterday glueing pieces of string together to make out the alphabets for the words 'students choice awards' for the header of the SCA notice board. It took up a LOT of my time, and so PeiShe you had better be really grateful to me. :P
But I'm not going to take a nap, because I don't take afternoon naps. And besides, I have tons of stuff to do (aka walk my dog, do my homework, figure out the lyrics of Taylor Swift's You Belong With Me, STUDY ) and they all pretty much have deadlines.

And I have been reading The Zahir (though not continously. I stopped for some time and picked up reading when I felt like it) for a few months now, and I really have got to finish that book because I want to get started on a new book, because I feel like my English is getting worse by the minute that I'm not reading a book.
And it is.

p/s: I'll bring my camera when I bring my dog out for a walk, just to see if there're any nice pictures I can snap, to post on my blog because- oh, you know why!

And Life Goes On

Somehow I find this year's Sports Day worth a whole lot more deal compared to the previous Sports Days.
Maybe it's because my inner Merah spirit has finally found me and I was so determined to break my voice cheering and yelling (but unfortunately, I didn't) and ended up shedding tears instead.

Oh and a lot of people have been congratulating other houses for doing their extreme best, and I must say I have to say the same thing too: A Big Big GoodJobWellDone to Kuning, Hijau, Ungu and of course, Biru. :)
Oh, and of course- I have never properly thanked my fellow Merah marching members who did extremely well in the marching session, and that I'm really sorry I screwed up. :/ And huge thumbs up to the seniors because they did a fabulous job with the decoration (the giant Pinocchio's hands could move!! Like a real puppet!!), and I will say what every single Form4 Merah member said: Decoration is ours next year. So watch out people!

Plus I just read Louise's blog about what Aaron did during Sports Day (aka cheering for Merah even though he was in Kuning), and I have to say that I am very glad that he is one of those people who have their sports spirit (unlike some people). And that no one should ever insult other houses for what they've achieved (tease, yes it's acceptable, but not insult). That's just plain disrespectful I tell you. Plain disrespectful.

Oh and I was watching Merlin on Hallmark today, and it got me thinking- maybe I should do an assignment about Merlin. My teacher can't possibly be disappointed if my team rewrites an article about Merlin. It's Merlin!- the fancy, power-strong wizard who looks really young and cute on Hallmark. Haha.

Something Else To Smile About

We should've won.
Because we deserved it.

And yes, you can tell me that I'm being very proud about this whole thing. So sue me then.
I will honestly tell you that we don't deserve the overall champion position, because we don't have a lot of athletes in our house. And that we are also not the best semangat-ed house compared to houses like Ungu.
But I can tell you we deserved the marching champion position, because we train harder than any of the teams.
And I can also tell you that we deserved the decoration champion position, because the seniors worked their asses off just to make our camp look good. And it was good. It was gorgeous! Excellent! Awesome!
Plus I will also tell you that we did not deserve to cry right after we laughed and screamed and hugged each other for a job very much well done. After all the time-sacrifice, mosquito bites, sweat pours and the shouting done by the seniors to make sure that we got our goal imprinted into our brains.

And yes lar, this is a post from the perspective of a fellow Merah member like me, so forgive me if I have unintentionally offended anyone (because I really really didn't mean to), and remember that this is my blog, so I have the authority to post my feelings. And that each house member has their own perspective and opinion and I respect all of your posts on each of your blogs so please do respect mine.
And I have to tell you that I am very proud of Merah, no matter what. GO MERAH!

p/s: to all the other houses, you have all done a respectively great job (with everything, that is). Congratulations.

You Got Dunked!

Yes, I went to the Interact Carnival today.
And to be very very very very very very very honest, it wasn't all THAT fun. It was...OKAY.
The Human Foosball was definitely fun, and so was the Reptile Room (except for the part where they fed the snakes), oh and the Dunk Tank was really fun too! Aha I dunked Carmen, but I only soaked her bottoms. Darn.

So, yeah.
The food wasn't very good either, but the drinks were nice. Like the chocolate bubble tea. It tasted a bit like Milo but it was still drinkable. Oh and I saw this chocolate fountain but I didn't taste it, and I think there was rojak too. :/

Oh yes, about the Human Foosball- guys can be really rough. And scary.
Do you have any idea how many times I got hit on my legs by the ball?
I am never going to be the goalie again. Not while playing with guys, that is.
I mean, I don't mind rough games, but I will not play them with the kind of guys who will stop being gentlemen just to win a stupid foosball game.

And I spent 30 bucks on that carnival.
Hence, imagine the money I will be spending when a real carnival comes to town. Like the ones with ferris wheels and roller coasters and all.
*gasp*!
