Osh Kosh B' Gosh!

Hah!
Yesterday was a great day. And by great I mean super super excellent!

But yeah well, it started off by me annoying YuenXin to death worrying about our results, and she assured me that I would do fine. And I actually did! In fact, I'm rather proud of myself!

Alright, so after that we went off to Mel's penthouse for a visit. And her house was oh-so-glorious. The deco was really lovely, and we had chocolate fondue for tea on her garden verandah. Really delicious I tell you.

The chocolate wasn't too sweet or anything, it was just perfect!

Watched Wild Child later, and Mel's younger sister Valerie had a typical 7 year old reaction to a kissing scene in the movie (haha!).
Then we had a walk by the swimming pool and I dropped my phone in the pool. By accident I swear. I fished it up immediately but it wouldn't work properly so I guess that would mean I get a new phone!

Then I went to The Curve for a celebration dinner (though I don't see much to celebrate about, really) at Bubba Gump Shrimp Restaurant and I saw the most hideous Christmas Tree. Ever.
Seriously, they could've done a much better job decorating it.

Oh, and then I found this shop with the most extraordinarily cute name, which sells baby clothes and all: Osh Kosh B' Gosh.

And after that Chel and I couldn't stop saying it, what with all the 'osh'-es inside of it!

A Dirty Tennis Ball Found On The Ground

So, my cousins came to visit us at my house today while on the way back from Ipoh to Singapore.
And well, obviously they brought their kids along- Emily, Elliot and Ethan, each aged 9, 7 and 3 and a half.
All extremely adorable and extremely loud too!

We got off to a good start, eating Indonesian fried crackers (otherwise known as keropok) and then playing in the park. Then Emily fell down twice and dirtied her knees, Chel stepped on I-dunno-what and her toe bled a little. Elliot refused to play most of the games we were playing, and Ethan slept all the way until we came back from the park.

And just before they left, we took a group shot, and then I wanted some individual shots of Emily, Elliot and Ethan. And only Emily was photogenic enough to give me a good shot, while Elliot scarpered like some cat running away from a dog and Ethan wasn't quick enough so we caught him and took a cute little shot of him.

There's Emily holding onto her brother. That was where Ethan gave up. And Elliot was hiding in a corner, somewhere nearby I think.

And Emily, she's a pretty one. :)

Little Ethan, real chubby. ;)

And the one wearing blue is Elliot, the two behind are my cousin and her husband, and there I am, looking as horrible as I always do in pictures. Bleargh.

24th December, Christmas Eve:

Oh, it was just like any other normal day. I did all the normal things one could do at home, had a perfectly typical Christmas Eve dinner (although it felt nothing like Christmas Eve, mind you), with no tree and no Christmas decorations in my house this year (because it was a little too late to decorate when I came back from my trips and I was oh-so-lazy to decorate my house earlier this month) and then I slept from 8-9pm, woke up and watched, as PeiShe quotes "crappy Christmas movies". A crappy Christmas movie, in my case. The movie was rather boring and VERY predictable.

25th December, Christmas!:

I was too tired to prepare the usual Christmas breakfast for my parents, so I laid in bed and woke up at 11am. Then I watched some more Christmas movies (this time not so crappy) and cleaned my old book cupboard and arranged my new one for the books needed next year.
AND I watched 'The Pink Panther' which was MUCH MUCH better than the Christmas movies, and in the evening we went to one utama, ate dinner at New York New York Deli and bought my sister her new phone and then met up with my godbrothers and their family to watch the movie 'Australia'. Which was VERY NICE indeed. Except that it was pretty long for a movie.

Another Christmas gone by.
4 more days till my doom!

Yellow Is A Pretty Colour

Oh, i forgot to add one very important thing in the going to, during and coming back enjoyed/endured list in Indonesia.

#7: SHOPPING
Ahh! The stuff there are just dirt cheap for us Malaysians. Okay, so not dirt cheap, but they're pretty cheap alright. Since Rm1= 3000Rp (and they count everything there by 1000, just in case you don't know), a 12,400Rp blouse is actually just Rm4! It's like pasar malam cheap, but you can't get that many nice blouses in pasar malam as Indonesia. Especially worded t-shirts.
They're nice.

A Wonderful Journey To And Fro

Oh, it's so good to be home.
And for once my lips didn't swell on the way back on the plane (it usually does, and it's very annoying and painful) and look like as if I've put on permanent lipstick.

Anyway, Surabaya was absolutely stunning. Everything there was, well, beautiful in it's own nature.
Here're the things that I endured/enjoyed going to, during and coming back in my holiday to Indonesia:

#1. The Coldness Of The Mountain Tops
OMG. On the 2nd day of my travel, we woke up at 3am (4am Malaysian Time) and drove up a view point on a mountaintop to view the sunrise. And it was 5 degrees Celcius, and your breath comes out in smoke. Your face feels like it's frozen and you can't help but shield your nose and mouth with your scarf and look ugly in the pictures taken.

#2. Riding On A Horse Up A Volcano
THAT was fun. Really really fun. It was a great experience. But my knees were sore from grabbing on to the saddle too hard (I read it from Narnia that it was a good way to keep you from falling off your horse) as we were going uphill.
And on the journey back we got to rode the horses ourselves, with permission from the owner. I now know how to guide the horse in different directions, move the horse and stop the horse. And I am proud of it. :D

#3. Having Loads Of Fun With My Friends
We all became poker card addicts, from playing with the cards for too long. We played in the bus (the journey from one place to another was really long sometimes), we played in the hotel rooms, and we used a upturned rubbish bin as a table top to put the cards while playing in the bus.
Plus, well, we talked and laughed a lot and went shopping together. And I've never laughed like that with my friends for a very long time. So it was REALLY REALLY fun.

#4. Staying In Crappy Hotel Rooms
The first night, we had spiders and cockcroaches and bugs in our room. And I screamed (naturally). And the rooms were really dark and romantic-looking, so we had trouble differentiating the blue and green colour UNO cards.
The second day, my room was the worse. It had old furnitures and an old, scary looking wardrobe and a chair that had a black hole in it. At first I thought it was a bug, but no (oh thank god). We went down to the Karaoke Pub with our parents and ended up in one of the hotel rooms talking about pregnancy and abortion.
The third night was the best. Everything was lovely. Us girls had a door in between our two rooms (just right next to each other) that allowed us to walk from room to room. We left the door open at night, and it felt like we were living in a suite or something. :D

#5. Indonesian Food
It was a bit different from our Malaysian food, but it was good.
We had, erm, a Surabaya soup which forgot its name. And we also saw this "Sop Buntut" which meant "Buttock Soup" just in case you don't understand. But we didn't try that, of course.

#6. The Turbulence Of The Airplane On The Way Back To Malaysia
AHHH! It was such a shaky journey. If I wasn't wearing my anti-nausea wristband I would definitely be puking all over the plane. But I drank a lot of water (to keep my lips moist) so I had to go to the bathroom several times, even before the plane took off and right after the plane landed.
The journey back felt like sitting on a jeep up a rocky mountain, only worse, because AirAsia has small squeezy seats and not much place to allow you to stretch your legs. :(

Up A Volcano!

People, people!
I am going to be unavailable from the 18th to the 21st, because I am going to Surabaya, Indonesia for my last holiday trip of the year. :)

So, SMS me for all you like, I will not answer any of your messages, because it is expensive.
And do not call me either, because I will not answer any of your calls. So unless it is urgent (which I will not be able to tell the difference whether its urgent or not), don't call me.
I don't see what's the big emergency for you to call me, OH, unless, the PMR results came out early! Which I bet they won't.
So anyway, just don't.

Have a great holiday people! ;)

Wow, What A Coincidence

OHMYGOD, I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS.

See, I was reading blogs, and I found out that cousin Abigail's blog photos of her tepee in Port Dickson looked exactly the same ones as the tepee I stayed in at Eagle Ranch.
And when she came online, I asked her, and found out that on the day I left for home, cousin abigail came to Eagle Ranch Port Dickson!

And thus we missed each other by a few hours. :(
But we both had a great time in Eagle Ranch. Haha.

"Now I Know How Heaven Feels Like, It's So Cold"

Says Cousin JiaHan when she first arrived with us in Cameron. How cute was that? :)

Day 1- 10th December
We drove up to Perak and stopped at Kellie's Castle for a little stop. It's an incomplete mansion and although rumours say its haunted, I find the deserted mansion really fun. There's 6 levels altogether, 3 locked ones underground. Then we drove all the way to Cameron. Checked in at Equatorial Hotel. Only one bedroom, so we children slept on the floor in sofas and mattress and sleeping bags. It was so so so so cold! Found Disney Channel on the TV Channels. Watched Phineas and Ferb. So cute. Ate steamboat. Felt so warm after that. Saw the Brinchang Funfair, decided to go play there tomorrow.

Day 2- 11th December
Woke up and decided to go pick strawberries. Went to a few strawberry farms but strawberries were all not suitable for plucking. :( Took lotsa lotsa photos with cactuses and flowers. Went to TCafe for lunch. Food there was really yummy.
Played 'Pass The Message', and somehow the message "Superman wears his underpants outside because he's afraid that he will wet his pants while fighting crime" turned out to be  "Superman hid his panties in the tunnel", which was completely stupid and funny!
Went to Cameron Bharat Tea Plantation. Tea leaves didn't even smell of tea; they smelt of normal fresh leaves. After that we went to BOH Tea Plantation. Such a big plantation. The roads were very windy and you have to horn at every sharp corner just to let other cars know that you're coming through. We opened the windows and helped shout to cars at corners that we're coming through. Was really crazy. :P

Day 3- 12th December
Went to BOH Tea Plantation again (the other part of the plantation. They have three parts in Cameron. How huge is that?!) and took a tour. Drank Ice Blackberry Tea. SO NICE! <3
Drove all the way up to Gunung Brinchang. Took a climb uphill and then it started raining. Stayed under shelter until rain stopped, then rushed all the way downhill and drove off. Went to Mountain Strawberry Farm and finally- we got to pick our own strawberries! Plucked about a while kilogram load of fresh, ripe strawberries. They tasted real sweet.
Went to Butterfly Farm. Butterflies were so beautiful they looked surreal. Saw a baby snake crawling on the ground (eeks!) JiaHan freaked out and Chel ignored it. Mom and Chel helped a helpless flutterly butterfly move itself from the ground to a leaf out of passerbys way.
Went to Rose Centre but it was already closed.

Day 4- 13th December
Went to Ye Olde Smokehouse. It was a very very very nice place to live in. And everything there looked absolutely old. Drove down to Tapah, JiaHan and I got very dizzy and kept stuffing ourselves with sour plum. Stopped at Lata Iskandar waterfall. Played there, it was so wonderful! But then it rained and we changed and drove all the way back home.
I love waterfalls! <3

There're seriously a LOT of pictures that we took during this trip. For pictures go to My Facebook. :)

All I Want To Do Now- Is Sleep

Hello earthlings! Just in case you've been wondering where I've been to these few weeks, I'VE BEEN TO EAGLE RANCH PORT DICKSON AND CAMERON HIGHLANDS. And I'm dead tired.

I took a LOT of photos in Cameron and I had a great time, but I'm real lazy to blog about it tonight, since I have to upload like a gazillion photos. So I'll do it tomorrow.
But first, Eagle Ranch.

Day 1- 6th December
Arrived at Port Dickson and realized that the tepees we're staying in were REALLY tepees (those red indian tents thingees). Then we checked in, found out that we have a bit of a open-aired bathroom and a crappy tv. Then we played water balloon games. Got really wet. Stuffed all my wet clothes into a plastic bag and just dumped them at a corner. Went for nightwalk in the jungle. Went room to room in the middle of the night singing christmas songs (probably annoyed everyone around) and went to bed at 2am.

Day 2- 7th December
Played this station game and watched everyone burst balloons and dip their hair in flour-water-full cream-thingy mixture (ew). Rented a bike and rode it around the ranch until I fell down on stones and bruised my knee. Went for go-kart until I crashed out of the bumper line. Went archery and for once I didn't screw up and even almost for a bulls-eye. It rained. Went for picture hunting and got the worst score out of all groups. Got really cold and sick at night. Went to bed at 10pm.

Day 3- 8th December
Last day. It rained all morning. Couldn't go play archery. Stayed in the room and watched crappy hokkien tv series. Not bad. Packed luggage, watched as roomies went around screaming for their belongings. Dragged luggage to reception centre. Loaded bus, went to Pitstop Cafe for lunch. Slept all the way to the cafe. Still felt sick. Bus reached Esso station, daddy came and picked me up. Went home.

And after that on the 10th I went to Cameron and just came home one hour ago. I've been sniffing all day. My eye is sore. I want bed. Goodnight.

Aw Look How Funny She Is!

Ooh I love checklists. Okay, let's see. What to bring to PortDickson?

1. Clothes
2. Shorts
3. Rubber bands (I can finally tie my hair! A very very short ponytail)
4. The leftover water balloons.
5. My Narnia book (I haven't finished it yet. And it's not like I even have time to read it. Right? Right??)
6. Titbits (no journey can be perfect without them)
7. Sandals!
8. Sport shoes
9. Trackpants
10. Socks?
11. My phone
12. My cap!
13. A torchlight (really, really important)
14. My camera
15. Extra batteries?
16. Bottle
17. Towel!
18. Shampoo
19. Money
20. A magazine (but I probably don't need that if I'm bringing Narnia)
21. Oh the Puzzle Book! (so that I can play with in on the way)
22. The Form Pn Chee sent us by post (=.=)

And lastly, look how scared my dog is of the rain, that she ran into the house and hid in the weirdest places ever.

First she came into the computer room and hid in between my legs.

Then she went to my room and stared at herself in the mirror.

And now she's ignoring Chel and I by hiding under the bed!

And now I must start the actual packing!

Oh Thank God

IT'S ALIVE!!
IT'S ALIVE!!
THE BUTTONS ARE PUSHABLE AGAIN!

There It Goes

ARRRRRRRGH.
It was working perfectly fine for one moment, and the next, the buttons were un-pushable.
This is the perfect time to curse those China products.
And maybe also the perfect time to keep my hopes up and browse the internet for a new phone.
Or I could just wait until tomorrow morning like SeckWei suggested and hope that everything's fine again.

Although if I do want to buy a new phone I would probably have to use my own money. My piggy bank money. The money I was supposed to save up to buy my ipod nano chromatic.
No chance of that now, I suppose.
Unless my parents are so charitable they would sponsor my new phone.

Dig A Hole And Throw Me In It

I feel so so so so so stupid.
I got the mail from the mailbox tonight (I don't normally do that, but tonight is only because my kakak forgot to take the mail and my dad made me do it) and as I dumped them on the wooden coffee table I noticed that I got a mail.
And that surprised me, because I hardly ever get mail, unless it's a reminder from my dentist telling my I have to go check-up.

And so I took it up, and I saw that it was from Catholic High School.
And that surprised me even more. And then, I screamed.
Because (stupidly), my first thought was "OMG. My PMR results are here!" and then my second (stupid) thought was "No wait. It's the letter telling me when I have to go to school to get my results!"
And both thoughts were very very very very very stupid, because well, you know why.

And then I turned to the back to rip the mouth of the envelope, and I saw that the mouth was stamped with Pn Chee's name. And so my third thought (and this was a more sensible thought) was "Why would Pn Chee send me a post?"
And when I ripped it open I saw that it was the parents-approval form to the trip to Port Dickson. And that Pn Chee had written Jia Wei as my name on a tiny note she stapled across the form instead of Rachel.

And so, that was a very very very embarassing moment.
Very.

"You Will Be Old Enough To Start Reading Fairytales Again"

I want the Astro movie package, badly.
Can you believe of all the channels that I have on Astro I don't have the movie package?!

And do you have any idea what is showing on the movie package?

1. Pirates of the Carribean triology!
I mean, its not like I haven't watched the triology before, but it won't hurt to want to watch it again (Jack Sparrow! I mean Johnny Depp. Who can ever get enough of him? He's Johnny Depp!! And of course Orlando Bloom)! And I would've watched my POTC on my dvd player but then unfortunately both my dvd players are screwed.

2. Escape from Huang Shi
Oh wait, that's already over. Darn.

3. Hairspray
Oh wait, that's over too! You know, Daddy, is it too much to ask for a movie package?!

4. Surf's Up
I've watched that cartoon already. But you know, the baby penguins are cute! So so so so SO cuddly.

Oh oh, and did I mention that I am into Narnia right now?
Like, right into Narnia?
And though it may be childish (CS Lewis wrote it for kids, sillies) I love it. And call me crazy but at least I'm doing some reading this holiday.
My favourite reading spot: My grandfather's old couch that he passed it down to my mom. :)

Especially To Mel: A Tribute To Taking Care Of Our Books

My sister just bought The Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers, part 2 of the LOTR triology. And so we dug up my many-year confiscicated part 1 book from the bunk of my mom's car. And what we saw was this slightly battered, yellow-paged modern classic novel. And it even had an obvious line at the spine of the book (which is obviously my doing many years ago when I was just a little girl).

!!!!!
I am going to prioritize taking care of this book (and maybe Harry Potter 4 as well), not only because this book is by JRR TOLKIEN, but also because I feel so bad for torturing my poor book.
If Mel were here she would go for a big "AIYAAA" and probably give me a good lecture.

Anyway, speaking of books, I bought reference books on Form4 Math and Sejarah. But nothing on Physics, Chem or Bio, because I'm not even sure I can get in Science next year. :/
But ANYWAY, Sej wasn't as boring as I thought, or at least it didn't SEEM boring. Because we're actually not focusing ALL of our chapters on Malaysia, but also a BIT about Southeast Asia, I think. So we won't exactly bore ourselves to sleep in class next year (seriously, we're gonna be 16 and we're still studying the history about our country. How ridiculously childish is THAT?!)

Arrgh my right foot it numb!
I could very well sink it in a tub of ice.
And I have to go shopping for trackpants. I'm going to PortDickson for 3 days! ;)

Thursday, November 27, 2008

Oh, DARN.

I'm wrong and I heard wrongly.
It's the 7th Harry Potter movie they're splitting into two parts. They're keeping the 6th movie in one part.

And the 6th movie had better be good, and I expect it to be good, because most of the events in the book were in the movie. So, it had better be bloody good.

Oh, and British accents are so hot! >.<

Agnes: "Its The Anticipation"

Oh, that reminds me!
HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE IS DUE NEXT JULY!
Which is a really long time away, and that's the sad thing about it.
But I saw a few scenes from the trailer while watching E! News and it seems so nice! At least, nicer than the 4th and 5th, I hope. :D

I hear they're spliting HP6 into two parts, and I hope that's true. Because I can't stand to see the whole story squished into another 2 hour movie. It's not enough!
I found a few trailers and I'm lazy to post it here on my blog. So I recommend you to go Youtube and go search for those trailers.

Or you can click the links if you aren't lazy enough to go see it.

And don't worry, this isn't a spoiler of the movie. It's just...trailers, that's all. :D
And this is exactly the kind of Harry Potter movie I've been waiting for.

Get Your Christmas Trees Out And Decorate 'Em

I saw this video from Nickelodeon yesterday, and I just thought it was so funny and cute.
And it's exaggerating, as usual, to be expected of Madagascar.
I think this happened before the four friends escaped from the NY zoo and got shipped all the way to Madagascar.

Did I mention I love the penguins? They're cute and cuddly. :)
Presenting: The Christmas Caper

YESSSSS. Mwahahaha.

Aha! I got a new typing record.
And so far I know nobody who can break that record. Actually, I don't even know anyone who can break my last record.
But nevermind.

I'm grinning like an idiot now. And I deserve to, because my arm hurts.

"YOU GOT IT WRONG!"

Yesterday was.....rather fun.
We had a very long afternoon, but in the morning we first went for more bah kut teh.
And then we hunted for Cluedo characters all afternoon in my bedroom, and after that Chel decided she would hide the characters and leave clues for Andrea and I to go look for the characters.
She made it something like the Amazing Race Asia (which Ida and Tania came in third. :( ) and we had to do Road Blocks and stuff. I had to skip 50 times without stopping, or I would have to redo the whole skipping thing again (which was quite easy la) and Andrea had to do the Rubik's Cube (which she was new with but she did it well).

Night was absolutely noisy.
My godbrothers Andrew and Chris came over to watch Romulus, My Father, which was showing on StarWorld that night but we played Cluedo at the same time so we weren't paying attention to the movie (which didn't bother me much because I've already watched the movie).
I ALMOST won in Cluedo and Andrew Chris kept accusing the wrong things, which we yelled when they did and laughed until our stomachs ached.

AND THEN, we played HeartAttack, and I won both rounds of the game (AHA!) and Chris cheated by hiding this big pile of UNO cards behind his back (ohh, darnyou).
They left at 10.45 and I missed America's Next Top Model Cycle 11. :/

If You Like Prawns Don't Read This

I mean, I know a lot of people probably know this already, but I certainly didn't until today.
Right before steamboating prawns, they don't really kill the prawns completely. IT'S RAW AND ALIVE. ALIVE!

I was having steamboat for dinner, and this staff from the restaurant was helping us put the prawns into the steamboat pot, when I swear I saw one of the prawns' legs move. IT FRIGGIN' MOVED!

Oh oh, and when the raw prawns were finally in the pot, and the cover was closed and the water started boiling, one the prawns started splattering its tail around, and that caused water to splash all over the inner pot cover.
And then when I told my dad he said it was just the effect of the boiling water over the prawns. The bubbles of the water caused the prawn to jump about. But I knew better! My niece, Andrea saw it. RIGHT? RIGHT?

And to prove my point, when the table behind our table got their prawns in their steamboat pot, they cried "Ah, it's alive!" and laughed.
I tell you, I didn't dare touch my prawn after that and I felt so nauseous. My uncle had to peel the prawn for me and I ate it, slowly. With a lot of soya sauce. I only ate ONE prawn. The rest of my dinner was filled with sate (more, more sate) and lumpy crabsticks and quail's egg.

Plus, the restaurant had this little pond of fishes near the entrance, and they provide you with buckets and fish nets to catch the little fishes. But you'd have to put the fishes back in the pond after you've caught them of course. It's just for a little entertainment.
So, Andrea, Chel and I went to the fish pond a couple of times to try to get some fish. But the fishes outsmarted us. They swim SO FAST! I promised myself I would catch one fish with that broken fish net if that was the last thing I would do, but those stupid, puny little fishes are sooo...FAST.
Darn, darn those fishes!

It Sorts Of Defines Me

I like it. I like it a lot.
I like the colour, I kindda like the pattern and I like the brand name.
My aunt bought this for me in America. This bag was shipped all the way from America. :D
THANK YOU AUNTIE. <3

It's just the right size. I can fit my purse and my phone (these two are the most important things) and the bag is just my size. MY SIZE. :D

Anyway, my aunt and uncle, my cousin and my niece just arrived today from Singapore. We brought them for some Hokkien mee for dinner and I craved some sate, which turned out to be not so nice after all (blearrk).

Pardon the picture of my brand new purse, because its not so nice and also because I couldn't wait until morning to show you my purse (I must have taken over 100 pictures of it and I chose this one. The lighting wasn't good. At all). :)

A Winner's Smile

This is definitely a spoiler for whoever who doesn't want to know about the results for The Amazing Race Asia: The Toughest Race Ever.

IDA AND TANIA LOST.
It was all so disappointing! They had such a good chance of winning but they kind of screwed it up in the airport. But all the same they were such good sports, and according to them they "laughed from the start to the end". Which is so true.
I really admire their spirit. They never had one big arguement, unlike Geoff and Tisha (blleargh).

Oh, and SeckWei showed me this video of this Pantene Commercial. It was very very nice and very inspirational. I loved it so very much! So go watch it, and call me crazy if you want to, but before you do that read the comments written by the many people who watched the video and call us ALL crazy!

Thumbs up, Chel, and Smile. :)

Soooo, the UPSR results just came out yesterday, at about 12pm.
My sister agreed that she would sms us once the results came out, and we were as anxious as she was (well, DUH).

Yea, so, at 12, my phone was still empty of Chel's text message. So I sent one to her, and she didn't reply me.
And SO, at about a quarter to one, my parents and I walked all the way to her school and to her class to see the results she got.
And it was so.....weird to have walked back into my old primary school schoolground. It felt so awkward, not refreshing, but awkward (because I didn't miss my old school that much).
The students there looked so....small. And the classrooms looked so....old.

Well anyway, that's not the point.
The point is, my sister got 6A's and a B for her result.
And I don't give a damn what other people might think, I'm still very proud of her.
She could've gotten an A for her BM Penulisan, but then the other 4 people in her class who was in the same examination classroom as she was during UPSR all got B's for their penulisan. And so they strongly suspected the, er, examinor who marked their exam paper. Because they didn't think that all 5 of them could've gotten B's for BM penulisan as a coincidence.

Yea well. My sister worked hard. Hard I tell you hard.
And we all suffered the consequences of her oh-so-hard-working (really).
And so it was a bit unfortunate that her hard work didn't really pay off for one paper, but at least she got an A for chinese, and chinese was hard.

Gingerbread Houses

I found this from Amanda's blog.

And it's cute. This draw house thingy.
It's this website where you go and draw your weird looking house and they will ask you questions from there.

Here's my analysed personality, and it's pretty true. Haha:

Based on your drawing and the 10 answers you gave this is a summary of your personality:
You are sensitive and indecisive at times. You are a freedom lover and a strong person. You love your house and your family. You are a gifted artist as well. Once you have a problem, you need a friend with you. Your life is always full of changes. You are a very tidy person. There's nothing wrong with that because you are pretty popular among your friends. Your life is always full of changes.
When it comes to love, you shut yourself off. It's difficult to win your heart because you have decided to keep your feelings deep inside. You see the world as it is, and not as you believe it should be.
You added a flower to your drawing. The flower signifies that you long for love. We also see that you are sensous, sexual and privately passionate. You don't think much about yourself.

Pointless But Fun

Oh, cool. I got tagged by Pei and Yuli.

How you do the Letter Meme:

Teapots and Teacups

My kitchen is currently under renovation. And therefore all the pots and pans and jugs and teacups and plates and cutlery are being put on my dining table.

My supposedly dining table. We don't dine there but it's still called a dining table. Look at the number of jugs and teacups that I have. I can serve you anything here:

Taadah! Its not a garage sale people so don't go asking about the prices.

And here we have the chinese teapot set. I think it's made with eggshells.

And another one.

And another.

Aaaand another.

And another.

And here we have wine glasses.

And here's my partly done kitchen. I love it a lot. <3>

As Promised :)

Aha.
Paddington House of Pancakes.
I went there a few days ago for dinner, since my dad thought it would be nice to have a change to have pancakes for dinner instead of rice.
And he was right! :D

So anyway, I found out there were a few types of pancakes in the Paddington House.

Pancake #1: Pannekoek, pronounced as "pan-ne-kook". I ordered this for dinner.

Pancake #2: Galette, pronounced as "gah-let". I read it from the menu and took the liberty to remember it.

Pancake #3: Poffertjes. I have no idea how to pronounce this. I tried searching the menu for it but I must've missed it.

And then there were the drinks.
Mine tasted pretty nice but I wished I had gone for the ice-blended cappucino instead.

Dad's order: Fizzy Mango with Ginger. I forgot what it tasted like. Probably mango and ginger.

Mine!: Fizzy Berry. You can see all the berries at the bottom of the glass. I don't really like that. :/

Chelsea's order: I don't know what it's called but the blueberry pancakes were good.

And Mom's: Some cheese pancake thingy with prawns and erm, steak?

Oh yeah, it was very hot, so they gave us a label to warn us.

And my pannekoek! It wasn't all that nice, and Chelsea took away most of my cheese, so yeah. :/

Oh, and Dad's pancake-burger. I didn't try the burger but the fries were yummy. See the Paddington flag on top of the burger?

Oh and I went to Petrosains today as part of my after-PMR activities. We only had 2 and a half hours to browse through and I didn't get to play with most of the stuff. :/
But we did catch the sneak preview of the world's first humanoid robot- ASIMO. He was cute. :)
And if you want to know what's in Petrosains, go there for yourself.
And just for you sillies who don't know where it is, it's in KLCC. ;P
The End.
Oh and I got my phone back!
The End.

To solve a Rubik's Cube

I. am. so. so. so. bloody. stupid.

Do you want to know WHY?
Oh I'll tell you why.

Because I stupidly used my phone in the canteen when all the afternoon session teachers and students were making their way back to the staff room and classes and unfortunately, a discipline teacher caught me using my phone.

So I was brought to the room and she gave me a very long lecture about how I wasn't supposed to bring my phone to school because it was against the school rules bla bla bla.
And she also complained about how troublesome it is for her to fill in all the paperwork for confisicated cellphones (sheesh, then don't do it and just let me go this once lah!).

And tomorrow, my mom has to go to school to pick up my cellphone and I hope the discipline teacher doesn't remember who I am so that she doesn't give me a long lecture again.
Because that is the last thing I need right now.

But on the bright side, I learnt how to solve a Rubik's Cube today.

Dancing Queen

I bought the soundtrack album of Mamma Mia!
And they sell it a tad cheaper in Popular Bookstore. Instead of Rm29.90, it was sold for Rm23.90.
And at first we didn't question why, because well, who cares, when you got the soundtrack with all 17 songs in it!

But then when we reached home, we (actually, I) found out why. It was a Malaysian Edition. A MALAYSIAN EDITION!
How stupid was I not to see the label on the front cover of the CD?!

Though there were the main 17 songs, the little songs like "Chiquitita" were missing.
(Maybe you have no idea what I'm talking about but nevermind).
Yes, now we know the reason for the cheaper price.
Stupid.
Stupid stupid stupid stupid!!!!!
*curses*
I'd much rather have the original NON-Malaysian edition!

Peanut Butter And Cheese

My poor sister. She came down with a fever last night and didn't go to school today.
She slept the whole day through and she was still wearing her sleeping gown when I came home from school.

And speaking of school, I went to the Taylor's College Sri Hartamas Campus for my after-PMR activity today.
It was labelled The Amazing Race when we signed up for it, but now I don't feel anything amazing about it. Except that my sneakers made an amazingly loud noise when I was running though the college campus looking for the Explorace answers.
They made us sit down in one of the lecture halls when we came in and we spent our next 2 hours there learning about Taylor's College and What To Expect In Form 4 and playing Think-Go (It's something like Bingo, but with a little more twisted sense of fun).

So yeah. And when the Race came, all we did was spent half an hour going around looking for answers to the Taylor's University College's questions.
Arrrgh. Not up to my expectations.
And though Agnes said that whoever won the Race would get money, the winning team did not. In fact, they got a stress-reliever in the shape of a star and a notebook.

Well nevermind, I bet Petrosains would be a lot more fun. And I can bring a camera and take pictures too! :)

And That's Why I Wear Spectacles

Oh, I just realised that I have 9 books to read. Nine.

Let's list them out in proper order, shall we?

  1. Lipstick Jungle- a book which is definitely not suitable for kids.
  2. The Alchemyst: The Secrets Of The Immortal Nicholas Flamel- it seemed like a very good book, so I just bought it anyway.
  3. The Chronicles Of Narnia- All of the 7 books. I haven't really read the whole chronicle, and I've always admired the greatness of CS Lewis as an infamous author, so I'm determined to finish reading his creations of Narnia.

And seeing as that I'm not into a reading mood these few days (and instead spend my days sitting in front of the TV and going online), I have to say I've turned into an extremely slow reader, which BY THE WAY, is not a good thing.

AAAAAAND, I really wish to read JRR Tolkien's Lord of The Rings triology, because people- those are the greatest books in history and should never be missed an opportunity to read (I bought the first book years and years ago but I think the english was a little too advanced for me to understand back then, so yeah).

Gimme Gimme Gimme

I watched Mamma Mia yesterday (finally!) with my mom.
And after watching this, I am sad to say that all the High School Musicals are pretty much nothing compared to this musical, because this has to be the best musical I've ever watched (I just have this thing for musicals).

Every character in the movie is so lively and jumpy and bouncy and carefree they sing like they have nothing to worry about.
And that's how life should be about! We should all be happy, smile always and sing all our troubles out!
It's definitely a trip down the aisle I'll never forget! :D
And mom has promised she'll buy the Mamma Mia Soundtrack because the downloaded version isn't as nice as the original one (Well duh!).

Oh and the salty popcorn in GSC isn't even salty at all! Wth.
It tasted a bit like caramel but not exactly caramel either.
I'd much rather have the corn in a cup or the mash potato.

Oh, that reminds me, I went to Wh yesterday and I found this really cute yellow top with the words "girls rule" written on it. It's a really nice and simple top and its 40 bucks (it would've been more expensive but it was on sale, so yeah).
And I didn't bring money, and no matter how much I begged my mom to buy it for me, she wouldn't!
Darn, I knew I should've persuaded mom to buy that blouse of hers, then maybe she'll buy the top for me seeing as she got something for herself as well.

Sad, real sad.
And also, I think I've found the perfect purse!
God, I really must go shopping with mom more often, because I can somehow find my wanted things when I'm shopping with her! :)

Through The Looking Glass

I've been nagging at my dad to get the Maxis Family Value Package since...forever. And my dad said he won't get it until my sister finishes her school final exam.

And she finally has! Finished her exam I mean.
And to get the Family Value Package you need to have every family members' numbers under one main line, and so...I had to terminate my old number and register for a new one. Today! :D
And my sister got one too!

And just in case I forgot to inform anyone, my new number is: 012-xxxxxxx (because someone said its dangerous to post my number on my blog).
And DON'T message or call me at 017-6278500 because I don't think you'll be able to get through to it. It's already terminated.

And thus ends my boring post and my boring day and my boring everything.
Except that I get 1500 free sms-es between family members and can sms my sister to get me anything everyday! :D

Flattened

Okay, wow.
I really don't know how to start with this. Umm, let's just start with 3 simple words: I. Am. Tired.

Physically tired but mentally energetic.
I originally thought yesterday ended with the Sunway College Teambuilding Workshop but then I guess I was wrong.
Carmen IMed me and asked me if I wanted to go watch the High School Musical 3 premiere yesterday night with Jing Hui and Zi Ling.
And somehow, just somehow, I said yes excitedly (since I didn't really like High School Musical 2 and I got a bit bored with High School Musical 1). So I asked my mom and she agreed to let me go watch the movie at 9pm.
But just before my mom fetched me to Cineplex Damansara she started complaining about how she regretted allowing me to go off to watch a movie that late during the night and how I will stand in the dark awaiting her to fetch me home after the movie and that it's SO dangerous she should have NEVER said yes to watching the movie in the first place.
But ah well, she fetched me there anyway and she fetched me back. (Thanks, mommy. :) )

And, I actually enjoyed High School Musical 3! I mean, I loved all the songs but I suspected that they cut off some scenes from the original movie (like how Disney Channel Asia cut off this whole singing scene in HSM2) but it was still nice. :)
So, here's to thanking Jing Hui, who won free tickets from Hitz.FM, Zi Ling who pointed out the cute little sauces lined up on a shelf in Bubba Gump Shrimp Restaurant and Carmen who kept giggling during the movie and who panicked when her phone suddenly rang in the middle of the movie.

So I slept for 6 hours last night, woke up at 6.30, skipped breakfast, dressed and hurried to my uncle's van at 6.40. I got the school magazine (sweet!) and went to Beryl's Chocolate Factory, bought RM44 worth of chocolates (bittersweet, tiramisu, tiramisu, bittersweet, bitter and black chocolate with blueberry filling). Then I went to the Ed Board AGM and had pizza and fries for lunch. And my mom couldn't fetch me home after that so I went to Pei's Sunway house and stayed there until 4 and my mom came to fetch me and I went with her to 1U to pick up my newly fixed guitar and to buy a guitar tuner.

So I FINALLY reached home after that and bathed and started to tune my guitar, only to find out my teacher cancelled my class today because he couldn't make it so I stayed at home and watched F.R.I.E.N.D.S and then my mom came home from her piano class and she brought with her my sister's new guitar which looks nicer than mine but the guy from the music centre said mine was a VERY good guitar so my tune sounds a bit different than other guitars (YAY, I'M SPECIAL!) and so yeah.

I don't care if you don't understand what I'm talking about, and I don't give a damn.
This is my blog. So deal with it.

Stepping Sticks

My legs feel sore. And my muscles hurt. It feels like someone has just made me run five miles without stopping. Or maybe I was just exaggerating. But my legs really do hurt.

On the contrary, my hands feel fine. And its a miracle that it is because I've just came back from attending this teambuilding workshop in Sunway College and one of the activities was to form a bridge with only sticks and helping your team members get across to the other side by letting them step on the sticks because their feet isn't supposed to touch the ground.
Did I mention that at least 4 pairs of people were holding the sticks in their arms as a support for the team member to walk across? And after being the support for 8 people to walk across my palms were as red as beetroot when the activity was finished.

Anyway its really hard to explain.

And then there's the indoor activity, which the whole team is supposed to squeeze into this tiny mat given to us, and see which team can stay the longest on the mat without any part of our body touching the floor or going out of the mat.
So there was a lot of squeezing, hugging, piggy-backing and shoulder-carrying. (=_____=)

And in the end my legs hurt because of the stick-carrying. You have no idea how heavy people can be.

10 promises

'10 Promises to My Dog' is probably the most emotional Japanese inu movie that I have watched.

This was the actually the first time I had to turn away from screen to try to soften my sniffing and I had to get 2 tissues from my mom and had a blocked nose.
No people, I'm not crazy or over-emotional, I'm just touched.

Let me just tell you that this movie is so touching that even non-dog lovers will cry their hearts out and will instantly go adopt a Golden Retriever after watching the movie.
Heck, even my DAD shed a tear. And if you watched the whole movie with your expression as blank as...a white piece of paper you are the most heart-less and most emotionless person I know.
I mean, to watch a movie about the loyalty of a dog and not cry!
What kind of a robot are you?? *narrows eyes and glares*

I would've dearly loved to go into detail about the movie but for the sake of my life (because I know that Pei will kill me if she found out about the detailed story plot) but people, GO WATCH.

And LOVE DOGS! <3

Too Much In Detail

I'm saying "oh my god" to 4 things, and you'll soon find out why:

Day Five, aka The Last Day aka We Don't Have To Study Anymore
Exam Subjects: Geography

OMG (that's one), Geo was crap. I mean, it was OKAY but at the same time it still stunk. I hate maps. And I suck at reading maps. And memorising places. And that's what Geo's all about. But I made it through. I survived!!

So after the exam, Pei rushed down from her Examination Classroom and practically dragged me to the bus stop. And so I recollected myself, tried to push crappy Geo out of my mind for a while, and then it hit me. OMG (that's two), PMR's OVER! IT'S OVER! HAH!

And so me, Pei, Michelle, JesCee and Mindy all took the bus to MidValley and decided to change there rather than change in school; Agnes, Mel, YuenXin and Ziling changed in school and managed to get out of school in good pieces without being yelled at Pn Susan (I think). We actually went to the arcade after lunch and got addicted to this racing video game (=.=), until Mel came and told us strictly that we had to get to the movies NOW if we still want to catch our show.
We watched The House Bunny, and then each headed off for shopping/the bookshop.

And so far, I've bought these nice purple bangles, a lucky star charm for my cellphone, tried to look for my purse, watched as Michelle camwhored a lot of times, ate Expresso 'N' Cream Baskin Robbins ice-cream and went to F.O.S and bought this pretty green/white blouse.
Aaand then it was time to go home. But it was RAINING (duh it rains every afternoon this month, without fail) and we couldn't hail a cab so we took the bus and took the LRT back home.

And after that OMG (that's three), I went to my guitar class and somehow in the car the neck of my guitar broke. It BROKE. And it was a SPANISH CLASSICAL, DAMNIT!
So my teacher suggested I take it back to the guitar shop from where I purchased the guitar and asked the people there to see if they can fix it. But I think it has to be shipped out and god-knows how long that will take.

Oh, right. There's only 3 OMGs. I definitely had 4 in mind when I wanted to blog this.
Nevermind.
